Safer, More Accessible Homes
Our home modification services make your home safer and more accessible — from grab rails and accessible bathrooms to ramps, doorway widening, and stairlifts — starting with an occupational-therapist assessment and a tailored plan.
Home modifications and equipment are funded under the Support at Home Programme's Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme. This is separate, upfront funding allocated (in most cases) over 12 months across three tiers — Low, Medium, and High — and it does NOT draw down your ongoing quarterly service budget. The items and associated services attract a participant contribution at the Independence rate (from 5% for full pensioners to 50% for self-funded retirees); prescription and wraparound clinical services are fully funded.

What it costs
Under Support at Home this is independence support: AT-HM scheme (separate funding) + Independence-rate contribution (5–50%). Our full fee schedule is published, service by service.
