We are a registered Support at Home provider owned and run by the people you will actually deal with. No head office in another state, no call centre — just a local team that knows the area because we live in it.
Our story
Built for our own parents, then for yours
Real Caring was started in 2014 by Harvey and Bridget, two Torquay locals. Harvey came from teaching and sport, Bridget from nursing — and both of their parents wanted to stay in their own homes as they aged.
It began at the kitchen table, juggling accounts, paperwork and client calls day and night. In July 2024 the business took on its own name. “Real Caring” was chosen to say who we are and what we promise — and to hold us to care that is genuinely real.
Today we are a registered Support at Home provider. Our admin team works from home and our care staff are out on the road across Greater Geelong, the Bellarine, the Surf Coast and the Golden Plains. It is still family-run.

The people who plan your care
Our Care Partners come from clinical backgrounds — Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and community services professionals. They bring real experience, and a genuinely kind approach.
They also come to you. We meet you face to face in your own home, so you feel comfortable, heard and supported. Great care starts with a real connection: you get to know us, and we get to know you.

The people who come to your door
Care workers are the ones you actually see — in the morning, at the shops, on the days that are harder than others. One of our clients, Margaret, was supported at home for seven years by four care workers who came to know her well. That is the kind of relationship we hire for.
